Hey Friends!
Happy Monday to you all! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
Our area got hit pretty hard with snow & ice last Thursday night which had us snowed in for most of Friday & Saturday! We did however, manage to make it to church yesterday morning & also ran a few errands in the afternoon. It felt good to get out of the house for a few hours! The boys played in the snow, drank lots of hot chocolate, & watched movies for the majority of our weekend. I on the other hand, did some crafting & put the final touches on our Christmas decor.
Today, I wanted to share with you a little Christmas Vignette that I put together!
Well, what do you think?!
I must say, I’m pretty smitten with this vignette! It may just be my most favorite part of our Christmas decor this year! 🙂
This little tree is one that I’ve had since Parker was a baby. It used to go in his nursery, but I’ve since upgraded the boys to full size trees in their bedrooms. So, I used it as part of the vignette and decorated it in the neutral theme that I’ve been sticking to. If you look closely you can see the DIY Ornaments that I made & shared on the blog last week. They are made out of toilet paper rolls!
I decided that the base of the tree needed a little sprucing, so I just wrapped a little bit of burlap around the tin bucket that it sits in & hot glued a little snowflake to the outside. Perfect touch!
But, in my opinion, what makes this display is this FABULOUS chalkboard printable that I purchased via Dear Lillie. Isn’t it amazing?!
I purchased this 24″x36″ printable via their website on Black Friday for 30% off. Once I purchased it, they sent me the file via email & I took it to our local Staples to get printed. I had it printed as an engineer print via the instructions on Dear Lillie’s website, (which only cost me $3.00) and then followed their step-by-step tutorial for making the frame. It was super easy!
You may remember these little stockings from my Christmas Mantel last year. I used them as part of the vignette, but changed them up a bit by adding a little greenery & the adorable jingle bell ornaments you see hanging on them. My mother-in-law picked the ornaments up for me at one of our local gift shops. I just love them!
To finish off the display, I grabbed a couple of boxes that I had laying around & wrapped them in brown paper. I added white ribbon to each box & then a personalized photo gift tag. I simply printed off some of our Christmas photos from last year (using regular printer paper), and then glued them to a book page & cut them out. I like the idea of using them for gifts, but also using them in our tree as ornaments as well.
In addition to the wrapped packages, I also sprinkled in a little more greenery, some pinecones, and a few ornaments as fillers to the vignette.
Ahhh….I could literally sit & stare at this wall for hours! CAN’T.GET.ENOUGH.OF.THE.CUTENESS!!
Well, that’s a wrap on our Christmas Vignette!
I hope you enjoyed!
It looks like the snow is gonna be sticking around our area for a few more days, so I’ll see what else I can accomplish this week & share with you! I’ll definitely be sharing photos of our Christmas tree soon, but would love to put together a Christmas Home Tour for you all as well! We’ll see if time allows! 🙂
As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a blessed day!

Love it Tonya!! It’s all so pretty. I’m wishing I had art on my vignette instead of a mirror. Love it all friend! xx
Thank you Liz!! Xoxo
That chalkboard art is amazing! I really need to try a design instead of free-handing mine! LOL!
It’s so easy Carrie!! Just purchase the printable & have it printed at one of your local print shops!!
Beautiful Tonya! Your home is one of my favourites in blog land!! Would love to see u on a home tour, but understand if time doesn’t allow it 🙂 by the way, where does this display sit it your house…. Living room? I love it! Have a fabulous day 🙂

This is such a beautiful display, Tonya. That chalkboard art {swoon} I love it.
I have to admit I always get excited when you have a new post. I always admire what you are able to accomplish with decor.
Oh my goodness Amy! You are the sweetest! Thank you so much for such a sweet compliment!
Oh my goodness Tonya….our styles are so similar (except you do it so much better!). Love, love, love this. Can I move to your house? I’ll be super quiet and since I’m on a diet, I won’t eat very much. 😉 Lisa~
Bahaha! This comment made me laugh out loud! 🙂
Thank you Lisa! You are too kind!!
I love everything about this but I really love the blue of the dresser. What is the name of the paint color you used?
Hi Misty!
Thank you! The paint color is called “Lake Cottage”, but it was purchased at a locally owned Home Improvement store. They don’t carry the big name brand paints like Lowes, Home Depot, & the other chain home improvement stores. I’m sorry! 🙁
Such a beautiful vignette Tonya… that chalkboard print is so perfect above your blue dresser.
Thanks so much Rhonda!!
That chalkboard is cute!
Thanks Andrea! Compliments of Dear Lillie! Can’t take credit for that one!
Its perfect!! I love the neutral colors and that frame and printable is awesome!! I actually made the toilet paper ornaments, and just have to find the perfect little shiny accent for the middle of them! Who knew a toilet paper roll could look so good!! I am off to check out the printable website, as I have a spot I am wanting to put something like that….thanks for sharing!
Thank you Dawna!! So glad you tried the toilet paper roll ornaments! Aren’t they fun?! And yes, definitely get yourself a chalkboard printable! You won’t regret it!!
Wow!! Beautiful!!!
Thanks so much Cyndi!!
What a beautiful scene. I love it’s clean lines and simplicity. You are one lucky woman to have such a thoughtful mother-in-law! The ornaments she gifted you are my favorite of this setting. Did she mention if they were hand-made, or just made by a rather exclusive company?
Hi Linda!
Yes, I do have a wonderful mother-in-law! The ornaments were not hand-made. I’m honestly not sure what company they are from either. Sorry I’m not much help! 🙁
Oh my goodness! Your vignette (and home!) is beautiful! Thank you so much for using and sharing one of our chalkboard downloads. Have a blessed week and a beautiful Christmas!
Warmly,
Jenni
Thank you so much Jenni!! I appreciate your sweet comment so much!! Thank you again for the awesome chalkboard printable! I am in love with everything in your shop! I want one of each…I just don’t think I have enough free wall space! 🙂
What is the name of the colour you painted the dresser? Been looking for that shade, but haven’t found the perfect one, LOVE this!
Hi Margaret!
Thank you! The paint colour is called “Lake Cottage”, but it was purchased at a locally owned Home Improvement store. They don’t carry the big name brand paints like Lowes, Home Depot, & the other chain home improvement stores. I’m sorry! 🙁
OMG! I love this so much! You are so talented! Love you blog, Tonya. Thank you!
What a gorgeous vignette! It’s all so beautiful, yet simple. I LOVE your brown paper packages and the photos on them! Such a great way to add a bit of personal touch. Thanks so much for sharing! Have a very Merry Christmas!
It looks wonderful. I can so understand you just have to sit there and stare at it, because it is mesmerizing.
Thank you for sharing it at my 12 days party.
Oh Tonya, I love it all! That dresser is to die for! You really have demonstrated that simple and inexpensive decor can be jaw droppingly beautiful!
What stain did you use for the frame? It is beautiful!:)
Hi Becky!
Thank you! It was over a year ago, but I think it was “Kona” by Minwax.
