Hey Friends!
Happy Wednesday to you all!
Can you believe it’s July?! I don’t about you guys, but it seems like summer is flying by! With school starting back mid-August, I already feel myself sinking into a depression! Is that crazy? Am I the only one who dreads the start of a new school year? Call me weird, but I really just prefer the laid back summer schedule as opposed to the hectic mornings, nightly homework, & scheduled bedtimes. Not a fan!
Today, I wanted to share with you an easy cinnamon roll recipe that I made for my boys yesterday. I got the recipe from a friend at work a couple months back. Being the sweetheart that she is, she brought these cinnamon rolls into work one Friday morning for everyone to share. The staff was RAVING about how awesome they were ALL DAY LONG!! I didn’t try them that day because I was watching my diet, but I did take the recipe home for future use!
We’ve been in a little bit of a breakfast rut around here, so I decided to pull the recipe out of my box & treat the boys. I say “treat” because although they do taste AMAZING….I’m pretty sure they aren’t the healthiest way to start the day, if you know what I mean! 😉 Why is it that the yummiest foods are so bad for us?
Anyway….healthy or not, I’ve come to the conclusion that they are worth every single calorie!
Even if I have to do an extra hour of Zumba to burn them off! 🙂
- 1 bag Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls (12 count - frozen)
- 1 box Cook & Serve Vanilla Pudding
- 1 stick of butter
- Spray 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. Line dish with frozen cinnamon rolls.
- Sprinkle pudding mix over the top of the cinnamon rolls. Melt stick of butter & drizzle on top.
- Cover dish with saran wrap. Be sure to spray saran wrap with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, set the cinnamon rolls out at room temperature for 45min - 1 hour prior to allow rolls to rise.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees & bake for 20 minutes. Ice while hot.
Seriously, these things are mind-blowing delicious!
You know you wanna bite! 😉
I hope you all are enjoying your summer! If you are in a breakfast rut, l hope you’ll give this recipe a try!
I guarantee your family will love you for it! And no one has to know how EASY it is!!
Thanks so much for visiting me today!!
I hope your Wednesday is blessed!

Wow! This does sound easy!! My husband makes the most delicious cinnamon rolls from scratch, but it takes him FOREVER to make them… I’d love something that is easy, too! His recipe has vanilla pudding in it, too… so I would have to say these must be amazing, too!
Yes, the vanilla pudding makes them so yummy!! The stick of butter helps too! 🙂
This might be a stupid question but do you cook the pudding before you put it on the buns?
Hi Patty!!
No, you do not cook the pudding. You simply sprinkle the dry powder mix over the top of the rolls.
These sound amazing. I need to be sure and make these.
Sounds like the perfect recipe for overnight guests and it looks delicious!!
What do you ice with after they cool?
Hi Terri!
The icing comes with the Rhodes cinnamon rolls.
Hi, I am wanting to make these tonight. Surely they will be the easiest cinnamon rolls I’ve ever made! Question; do you use a small or large pkg of the pudding mix?
Hi Erica!
Just a small box should do it!
What a wonderful and easy recipe. and it looks so good! I can’t wait to try it. I would love if you would stop by and link up to my new link party, Celebrate it! Your cinnamon rolls would fit right in! http://www.thefreshmancook.blogspot.com/2014/07/celebrate-it-link-party.html
Hope to see you there!
I’m going to try these. Looks so yummy. Do you have to put the rolls in the fridge over night?
I don’t know what “Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls” are or where you buy them. Are they a regional item somewhere in the Country ?
I’ve never heard of them. So fill me in, and let me know how on earth I can find these cinnamon rolls.
Freezer dept of grocery store, by the frozen bread dough.
What does the pudding actually do? Other than making them yummy???
