Hey Y’all!
Happy Tuesday!
I’m so excited to share my Fall Mantel with you today! This year’s mantel incorporates a lot of things that I already had on hand & if you’ve been following this blog for a while, I’m sure many of the items are gonna look familiar. However, even though I’ve done a bit of recycling, I still feel like this mantel is “new” all over again. And let’s face it, when you don’t have to buy much to create a new look in your home, that’s always an added plus. Am I right?! Free decorating is the best kind!
Well, what do you think?!
You may have noticed that with last few displays, I’ve tried to stick to a somewhat neutral color scheme. This season’s mantel is no different. Our home is decorated in cooler colors, so it’s hard to bring in the traditional fall color tones. Besides, I kinda LOVE the mixture of creams & whites. The natural colors of the baskets warm up the display just a touch & the dried hydrangeas bring in just a pop of color.
You may remember this little owl. I picked him up last year at TJ Maxx & used him in last year’s fall mantel. I thought it was only appropriate to bring him back again this year! 🙂
I love the pretty hues of green & pink that the dried hydrangeas add to the display. My mom has two large bushes at her house & I have a few smaller bushes of my own. Between us, we had a plethora of blooms just begging to be used!
The baskets in the display were all Goodwill purchases. I bought a variety of sizes & shapes to use in my spring mantel earlier this year. The miniature white pumpkins were purchased this past weekend at a local produce store. I just love them!
If you have been following my blog from the very beginning, you may also remember this DIY Pallet Art that I made a couple years ago. It had been stored away for quite some time, but I decided to dig it out for this season’s mantel. I thought it worked well with the color scheme & I love the message it brings to our home. Great daily reminders!
More pumpkins, more hydrangeas….
I always bring in books with every mantel display. They are great for adding height & also bring in more of that natural color.
I’ve used this Mossy Monogram in several different displays. I’m sure you know by now, that I’m quite fond of it! I just always works so well with each display & I love that it adds a little personalized touch to the mantel.
The white bowls & pots that you see on the shelf are from IKEA & Goodwill. I love mixing in the different sizes & styles.
One more hydrangea picture….because it was just too pretty not to include! 🙂
So, that’s pretty much it for this year’s fall mantel decor!
And if you are keeping track, the only thing that I really had to buy for this year’s mantel were the little pumpkins! Everything else was recycled, reused, or picked right out of the yard! 🙂
Happy Fall Y’all!

I love your Fall mantel! It is just perfect! I was curious where you purchased the mantel itself at? We don’t have a fire place in our home and I would just love something like that. I love the pallet art, hydrangeas and white pumpkins.
Thank you Carrie! The “mantel” is actually just a shelf that I bought at Hobby Lobby several years ago. It used to be black, but I painted it to match my decor.

I think we are going to decorate this weekend. I’m always conflicted on when to put it all out. Even though it’s the end of Septembet, it’s still so hot in SC!
Hope it cools off soon!! Happy Decorating!!

Do you sell that subway art? (The saying)? My husband had a stroke almost 15 years ago, and I’m his caregiver! Words of wisdom for me,
I’m sure!! I’d love to have that hanging in my home!
Hi Francine! I’m sorry, I do not reproduce or sell the subway art.
