Hey Friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful Father’s Day weekend!

A couple weeks ago I was thumbing through my mom’s cookbook, looking for some new recipes to share with you all. I came across this Chocolate Ribbon Pie Recipe and thought it sounded delicious! My mom had never made it before, so I thought that was even more reason to give it a whirl. It sounded easy enough to make & there was just a short list of ingredients…..my kind of recipe! 🙂

Chocolate Ribbon Pie Recipe
Ingredients:

4 oz. cream cheese
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp milk
1-8 oz. container cool whip
1- 9 inch prepared chocolate crumb crust
2 cups cold milk
2- 4 oz packages chocolate instant pudding

Directions:
Combine cream cheese, sugar, and 1 tablespoon milk in a large mixing bowl. Beat until smooth. Then, add in 1/2 of the cool whip topping and stir well. Spread cream cheese mixture into bottom of pie crust.

Pour 2 cups of cold milk into large mixing bowl. Add in pudding mixes. Stir with wire whisk for about 2 minutes. Pudding will be thick. Then, pour pudding over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until set.

Before serving, spread remaining cool whip topping over the pudding layer. Garnish with shaved chocolate.

This sounds so good, have everything except cool whip…..so will have to go to store for this…..sounds real easy….I make a chocolate
torte very similar to this, but make it in a 9×13 dish but make my own crust.. I love chocolate pie, but do not like using eggs in the
chocolate and not cooking them…..and most recipes I find are using the raw eggs……not a fan of raw eggs 🙂
