Hey Everyone!!

I wanted to drop in today & share a cute Valentine’s Day Gift Idea for your kids’ teachers!!

I made this Coffee Cup Cozy last week…..

How To Knit

Isn’t cute?!

Let me start by saying, I am by NO MEANS a master knitter!! Actually, I really just know the basics when it comes to knitting, so believe me when I say you can TOTALLY MAKE ONE THESE!!

Ever since I started blogging about 2 years ago, I started seeing all of these really cute coffee cup cozies online. My mother-in-law had taught me how to knit a few years ago & I also learned how to crochet as a little girl. So, since I knew a little bit about what it involved, and because I had left-over supplies from my Valentine’s Day Wreath, I finally decided to try to make one of my own!!

Instead of writing out a tutorial for this project, I decided that maybe a video tutorial would be a little easier! This isn’t the best video tutorial on earth, but it will have to do! The video below will walk you through all the steps, so that you can make a coffee cup cozy your own!

To see the tutorial on how to make the felt roses, click HERE. The only difference between the roses I made for my wreath & the roses I made for the cozy, is the size. You will just need to start off with a smaller felt circle.

I decided that this would make a really cute Valentine’s Day gift idea for Parker’s teacher. I’m not 100% sure if she is a coffee drinker or not, so I am just going to put a packet of hot chocolate inside (because who doesn’t love hot chocolate) and I’m also gonna throw in some adorable & festive heart marshmallows….

How To Knit

If your son or daughter’s teacher loves coffee, you could always drop a little gift card inside the mug to Starbucks or to any local coffee shop! I think it would be a great way show your appreciation for all that they do!!

And in case you are wondering about the coffee cup/mug itself. I just purchase one at Walmart for $5.00. The picture on the left shows you what it looks like.

How To Knit

Do you know how to knit or crochet?
Are you getting a Valentine’s Day gift for your son or daughter’s teacher this year?!

I would LOVE to hear your ideas!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

  12. Adorable. I am like you, a very basic crocheter/knitter. That is adorable and easy enough for me. Do you know what size needles they are that you used?? Also the brand and color of yarn?? I am with one of the others, I love the exact colors that you used. Thanks for sharing.
