Hey Y’all!

Happy Hump Day!!

It’s hard to believe we are already half way through another week!  I don’t know about you all, but it seems like time has been flying by lately. I’m sure that is just a direct correlation with how busy we have been in recent weeks. I am seriously ready for school to get out & for things to slow down a bit! I mean, I’m not wanting to rush spring, but I sure am ready for some lazy days of summer!  Anyone else?!

I told you yesterday, that I am doing a little catch up on blog posts! I’m gonna rewind a few weeks back again…..

Parker’s school, like many other schools across the country celebrated Dr. Suess’ birthday in early March with the National Education Association’s “Read Across America” Campaign.  His school goes all out for Dr. Suess day! It’s so fun! The teachers even dress up like characters from the different books!

I was asked by Parker’s teacher to provide some Dr. Seuss Party Favors for their in-class party.  I searched the internet & came up with some really cute Thing 1 & Thing 2 Treat Bags.  They turned out so cute, that I thought I would share them with you today!  Maybe you’ll be inspired to make some for your child’s class next year! 🙂

First, I found these fantastic Thing 1 & Thing 2 printables via ObSEUSSed.  If you click on over to their site, you can print your own.  They actually used the printables to make puppets, but they make great treat bags as well!  I printed them out on white cardstock, then cut them out, and colored them accordingly. I used turquoise for the hair.

And red for the arms. The “Thing 1 and Thing 2” circles were left plain.

I picked up a package of plain red bags from Party City. I think they came 10 to a package & were $2.99.  Then I just glued the head & arms to the bags using a craft glue stick.

Once they were dry, I filled them some really cute Dr. Seuss party favors that I also found at Party City. I may have added some chocolate candy bars too! 🙂

These treat bags were seriously so easy to throw together and Parker’s class absolutely LOVED them!

It did take me some time to color & cut out the parts, but I kinda enjoy coloring, so it didn’t bother me a bit!  Also, he only has 6 kids in his class total, so it really made my job pretty easy!

If your child’s school celebrates Dr. Seuss day, I’m sure they would enjoy getting these fun treat bags!  They would also be great for a Dr. Seuss inspired birthday party as well!

As always, thanks so much for visiting me today!

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
