Hey Friends!!

Happy Friday!

It’s been a busy week on the blog & I must say, I’m pretty exhausted!! I’m looking forward to the weekend & hoping to get a little rest despite the fact that I still have lots to do!! Have y’all finished your Christmas shopping?! I haven’t but, would LOVE to get it done this weekend! And as much as I would like to say that I am done decorating, I find myself adding more & more things to the house!

Oh this time of year….I love it, but it also stresses me out!! Anyone else?!

Since it’s Friday, it’s time share another room makeover with y’all! This one comes from my sweet & talented blog friend, Traci from Beneath My Heart!

Traci & her husband, Cy were in the middle of a complete kitchen overhaul this time last year. I remember following along & reading every last post! Watching their kitchen transform day by day was pretty awesome! Traci’s kitchen is still one of my favorite before & afters from blogland.

This is what Traci’s kitchen looked like “Before.”

I remember when she FIRST blogged about this kitchen makeover…..she was supposed to just be painting the cabinets! HA! How quickly things changed!! You will soon see, this kitchen ended up getting a makeover from top to bottom!

Traci & her husband put in new flooring, they removed the soffit above the cabinets & installed a plank ceiling, they took down the upper cabinets & switched to open shelving,  they installed a subway tile backsplash & butcher block countertops, they put in a new farmhouse sink, they painted the remaining cabinets & added new hardware, moved & enlarged the pantry, took out the island, removed the ceiling fan, & probably lots of other things that I’m forgetting!!

Traci & Cy wanted to have the kitchen completed by Christmas & they managed to do just that! Let’s take a look at the “After.”

AH-MAZING, right?!

I love how open the space feels now! The room is so much brighter too!

My favorite part of the kitchen is probably the open shelving & the cottage feel it adds to this space! I also love that subway tile backsplash and the farmhouse sink!

How about that fabulous pantry?! I would LOVE to have that in my house!

Oh who am I kidding…I love everything about this room!!

What is your favorite thing about this makeover?!

To see more detailed photos of this space, PLEASE hop on over to Traci’s blog! There so many more before & afters from every different angle that you won’t want to miss!! CLICK HERE

She also gave a complete budget breakdown in this post if you are interested. I think you’d be surprised how much they actually spent to transform this space! Way less than most kitchen makeovers….I’ll tell ya that!!

  1. Wow! That is an incredible transformation! We are getting ready to move and are looking at houses and none of the kitchens are very charming at all. I’m looking with a what-can-I-do-with-it eye. 🙂 Two of the things I know I want are a dark hardwood floor and white cabinets and after seeing this kitchen, it just sets that in stone. I love the clean, cheeriness and crisp feeling.

    BEAUTIFUL!

That’s unbelievable! I can’t pick one favorite part. The french doors, baskets in shelves, and farmhouse sink! Off to follow Traci too! Thanks for sharing, Tonya.

  5. I loved following her blog through that transformation last year! My favorite part is that because of her makeover I am now a fan of open shelves in the kitchen! I have her kitchen pinned as my “dream kitchen”!!

  6. Nice blog… thanks for sharing with us..
