Flower Power

I had mentioned in my previous post that my mom has been working on some projects at her house….
And since the last several posts have been on projects at my own home, I wanted to take a minute and spotlight some of the things she has been working on!
She has discovered a new passion….
Fabric Flowers!!
She makes them into pillows…
And they add the perfect amount of cuteness to all sorts of things….
 like lampshades…
And plates….
she made all of these out of some old curtains she had already at home…
So they didn’t cost a thing…that makes them even cuter…right?!?
One fabulous thing about blogland is that there are so many great sites out there with so many great projects & tutorials. She simply googled “fabric flowers” and came across this website which offers a fantastic lesson on fabric flower making. To view the tutorial you can click here.
Here is a pic of some more cute throw pillows she made using the tutorial above….

Here is what the flower looks like by itself…
These babies could also be used to add a little pizzazz to a sweater by simply adding a pin to the backside or would totally be cute on a headband!
After mastering the flowers above…
It was on to something else… also flower inspired…
and totally ADORABLE!!

Loving this flower throw pillow!!!
This project was again inspired by another blog and it also offers a great tutorial on this project if you wanted to try and make one of your own. To view the tutorial click here. I think this one is definitely my favorite of all the flower inspired projects!!
So what do you think…
which flowered item is your favorite?
p.s. one of these items will be given away when we reach 120 followers!!! So, if you haven’t done so yet…
make it official and become a follower of our blog!!
I will be linking these projects up at the following sites….
